Aimed at Newly Qualified Teachers and School Direct Students from the primary phase, the Newly Qualified Teacher Programme will be a series of sessions delivered by practitioners from across the MTSA.

The sessions will give delegates the opportunity to access specialist skills and knowledge from across the alliance to enable them to reflect on their own practice as well as network with other colleagues in the same stage of their career. The first and last sessions will be held jointly with secondary colleagues to access the cross-phase content of those sessions.  The sessions can act as effective additional CPD to that provided by in-school and Local Authority programmes.

Wednesday 16th May - Workload and Well-being – Brompton-Westbrook

Wednesday 20th June - Supporting Marginalised Learners, Looking forward, NQT + 1 – The Rowans

Specific Course Requirements

  • Attendance at each session unless in exceptional circumstances*
  • Complete an evaluation of each session attended

*In exceptional circumstances, non-attendance must be agreed with school based mentor and communicated to the MTSA via email prior to the start of the course.
