Schools as Organisations and the Teaching Assistant Role
This course is provided in partnership with Babcocks and is aimed at candidates who currently work as a teaching assistant or who volunteer within a setting and have opportunities to support pupil learning.
This session will focus on schools as organisations and the TA role in line with the relevant Teaching Assistant standards including: effective communication; building respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with children and young people; recognising the contribution parents and carers can make; and working collaboratively with colleagues. The training is part of a series of four sessions and can be accessed individually or as part of the series.
Cost: £30 per session or £100 for all 4 sessions
Session: 21/03/18 - 9:30am – 12:30pm
Specific Course Requirements
- Experience of supporting pupil learning.
- Support from a school based Senior Leader (usually the Head Teacher) if a school is paying for the training.
- Complete an evaluation after the session.
