Critical thinking and problem-solving in global learning
This two day programme will build on your experience to develop critical thinking and problem solving in the context of global learning.
Friday 7 February 2020 and Thursday 26 March 2020
The plan-do-review structure will give you the opportunity to develop understanding and practical strategies for critical thinking and apply them in your classroom. Two-day course with gap-task in your classroom
How will I benefit?
Critical thinking and problem solving are key skills which support pupils’ learning, raise attainment and strengthen their development as informed and engaged future citizens. These knowledge-enriching pedagogies will help you enable pupils to strengthen their knowledge of the world, acquire disciplinary knowledge through the critical use of evidence and argument, and will give you the practical tools to raise attainment. Our programme is highly-rated by teachers from Foundation Stage to A level; the resources and examples used will make it of particular interest to those teaching humanities subjects.
Level 3: Two days, separated by time for implementation in your classroom (roughly 10 to 12 weeks between days 1 and 2) followed by reflection on impact with other course members.
