Chairs of Governors Leadership Development Programme

A professional programme accredited by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) which develops skills in the role of Chair, effective governance and school improvement.

The programme consists of 3 units focusing on the essential element of being an effective Chair and can be studied individually over a term or taken together over a school year:

  • Unit 1: The role of the Chair, the leader
  • Unit 2: Effective Governance and Leading the Governing Body
  • Unit 3: School Improvement

Cost: £350 for the whole course, £130 for an individual unit.
Scholarships are available for small schools and for schools rated as Category 3 by Ofsted.
