Peer Challenge for Governors
A facilitated peer review model which enables governing bodies to learn from each other and benefit from peer support for school improvement.
MTSA Chairs of Governors have developed, piloted and evaluated a Peer Challenge and Review framework.
Working in triads, governors work collaboratively to review an improvement theme in each school, supporting the school’s own self-evaluation and sharing expertise.
The model builds powerful and trustful relationships between governors who visit each other’s schools and often leads to on-going collaboration and sharing of expertise beyond the initial review.
